Even Eye: "Dark Dead Lullabies"

Even Eye: "Dark Dead Lullabies"

Alternative rockers Even Eye have released their new Dark, Dead Lullabies EP— and it’s a beautiful blast of modern, rock nostalgia. The EP has a strong narrative feel. Each track carries its own weight and story, but is blanketed in a cohesive feel of a performance.

Speaking of which, the new collection of songs sound great in record-form but would imaginably translate well to the stage as well. The lead singer, Jake Swenson, says that “We try and make our performances fun. It’s not uncommon to have people dancing up on stage with us, and we’ve thrown ridiculous covers into sets, like the Veggie Tales theme song.”

As much as the band knows how to have fun, they also know how to execute and surround themselves with the right people and the right situations to create an impressive work. Their debut, self-titled album Even Eye (released in 2020) was notably produced by Aaron Gillespie of Underoath. Their newest EP was produced by their former bandmate Braxton Fitzgerald, and it was recorded in the isolation of a cabin out in Bear Lake, Utah.

Following their EP release, Even Eye has been taking to the stage yet again. Keep an eye out for show dates near you and listen to their new Dark, Dead Lullabies EP today.
