Omar Veluz  Singer/Songwriter, professional dancer and designer is a triple threat best known for performing on stage with world famous singers Alejandra Guzman, Pilar Montenegro, and Olya Poliakova. After touring the world in the China National Dance Tour he moved to Los Angeles where he continues to chase a dream to become an world recognized recording artist.

We had the pleasure of checking in with Omar and he was kind enough to respond to a few interview questions.

Omar! Your music is a lot of fun! Tell us what's in the works right now with it?!

Thank you for thinking my music is a lot of fun, I think it is a lot of fun too! I am working on a few new releases, mostly all fitting within the dance genre. However, one of my upcoming releases is a theme song to a horror movie. The movie is titled "Sacre Us" and the song is titled "Do You Really Wanna". The song fits in the genre of Industrial Rock. The song is unlike anything else I have done and the music video is quite outstanding. I worked with a film company in Phoenix for this project and I am very excited for all of you to see it. I was given a small cameo in the movie as well, so if you get to see the movie, you can watch me act a little too. I had a lot of fun and have found myself to be very lucky to be on this project by creating the theme song to this film.

How much time do you give yourself in between releasing projects?

If it would be totally up to me, I wouldn't give myself much time at all in between projects. I am quite the work horse and a lot of my time I catch myself overworking. However, naturally there is about 6 months to a year in between each one of my major projects. There are a lot of small projects that I work on throughout and constantly, but because larger projects take a lot more time, attention, and money they are a bit slower to release as an independent artist, at least for me it has been this way.

Can we please talk about your hairline you're going to be releasing because this is just so dope to us! Where did this idea start?!

My hairline is called Vokse Hair Solutions. You can visit the website at VokeHair.com. The hairline started all from a recipe I acquired many years ago. I was losing my hair, and a woman I had met while I was working at a music/recording company gave me a recipe that would help my hair from falling out. I used it for many many years. I then had an idea to take that initial recipe, which worked very well, and created two formulations that will help increase the amount of healthy hair on one's head and also activate regrowth. The formulations I created for my hairline are a lot more precise and with more ingredients than the recipe I did for myself for all those years. I am in the "Pre-Launch" phase of the product, meaning that I am selling the product at a discounted price to collect progress photos and testimonials. If anyone is interested in purchasing the product or being part of the "Pre-Launch" phase, they can submit their email at VokseHair.com to receive more information.

Can you give a piece of advice to someone that feels discouraged about their artistry?

The piece of advice that I would give someone that feels discouraged about their artistry is to have them ask themselves, so they can remind themselves as to why they wanted to create in the first place. Sometimes we lose focus and lose the memory of why we even got started. From experience, when an artist's "light" begins to fade or dull out, they lose themselves and become completely lost in the struggle of becoming a "famous" artist. However, if one remains true to themselves and never loses their memory as to why they even began creating art, the struggle won't feel as bad and the fun of creating will always be there. Something I always try to tell myself is, 'sometimes you win some and sometimes you lose some". I have given up with the idea of impressing people with my art, either they like it or they don't, it is totally on them and I truly don't mind either way. I will encourage any artist to continue to put out what makes them happy, even if they decide to change things up along the way. At the end of the day it is the artist that will always remember their own memories as to what inspired them to create and everyone else will only know an interpretation they've made on their own about the work they're seeing - that's art and art is beautiful no matter what.
