Little Juke's debut album, Departures From The States Of Mind, marks a significant milestone in the band's musical journey. The album, released on February 13th, offers a deep dive into the band's unique blend of evocative storytelling and genre-defying sound.

The journey began with their debut single, "Down the Rabbit Hole," which premiered worldwide on Radio X and was championed by legendary DJ John Kennedy. Kennedy was quick to express his enthusiasm, stating, "I was blown away upon hearing it!" The single garnered glowing reviews from fans and critics across the globe, from Brazil to the United States, solidifying Little Juke’s reputation as an emerging force in the indie rock scene.

The praise didn't stop there. The album's third track, "When the Sea Came to Tea," earned the coveted title of "Hot One" on John Kennedy’s XFM Exposure show, while "No Illusions" was named XS Radio’s Track of the Week. Such accolades highlight the band's growing influence and artistic depth.

Reflecting on the band's journey, lead vocalist Alex shared, "We’re beyond excited to share our debut album with the world and celebrate it with our biggest show yet at KK Steel Mill. The support we’ve received has been overwhelming, and we can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable night of music and energy."

Little Juke—comprising Alex (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar & Keys), Ste (Guitar & Backing Vox), Han (Bass & Backing Vox), and Tom (Drums)—has built a reputation for their dynamic live performances and boundary-pushing sound. Drawing comparisons to Radiohead, Arcade Fire, and Foals, their music is described as "more cinematic than commercial, more poised than pop-pleasing" (The Big Takeover).

Their latest single, "Time On My Mind," further demonstrates the band’s versatility and ambition. A powerful anthem about breaking free from the mundane, the track encapsulates both restlessness and determination, making it a standout in their live sets.

Emerging from the Midlands, Little Juke has swiftly captured the attention of indie rock enthusiasts. Despite being a relatively new act, they have already secured sold-out hometown shows, reinforcing their growing fanbase. Their ability to craft immersive musical experiences has not only resonated with audiences but also led to an exciting collaboration—writing a track for BBC’s Phoenix Rise, further solidifying their creative credibility.

Departures From The States Of Mind is a collection of ten tracks that showcase the band’s diverse influences and introspective lyricism. Spanning the highs and lows of everyday life, the album serves as both a personal soundtrack and an invitation for listeners to find their own connections within its themes.

With four singles released between August 2024 and February 2025, accumulating over 22,000 Spotify streams and 1,656 monthly listeners, Little Juke is undeniably a band on the rise. As they continue to carve out their space in the music industry, Departures From The States Of Mind stands as both a bold introduction and a promise of what’s to come.
