George Alfie: Bright

George Alfie: Bright

After leaving school at 9 years old, George Alfie has used writing and performing as a way of connection. Gaining popularity in the indie genre through his ardent lyricism and attention to detail, George has played all over the UK, in venues such as Old Trafford Stadium. He is also playing upcoming stages at Guilfest (in his hometown Guildford), and Ragcity Festival.

Taking inspiration from Sam Fender, Arctic Monkeys and The 1975, George works with his bandmates to bring his originals to life with intricate guitar licks, and iconic drum fills, as well as delivering warming acoustic sets overflowing with heart and charm.

With all this new music, he has recently supported Pip Blom on one of the dates on their tour and has been named as one of Hot Vox's 'Future Icons’. George wants to "create space for people to be seen, to make sure no one feels like a ghost in a room full of people". For George, this transcends beyond his gigs - through him and into his following, he shows that these feelings can be universal. "No one deserves to feel invisible”.'

His new single ‘Bright’ is a personal song to George as he explains, it’s about ”always being at an arm's distance from someone. That it’s like a spotlight is on them wherever they go. When they’re in a room, they’re so bright it’s the only thing you can see, they blind all others out of your view”
