Forster & Hopes: "Twenty Million Loves"
As a multi-instrumentalist, Europe based artist Forster & Hopes is building a name for himself through a signature sound influenced by the likes of rock, indie pop, jazz, blues, classical music and electronic music (to name a few), as well taking inspiration from his environment. As with most artists, he digests the world around him and life experiences that later become alchemized into his music. “Twenty Million Loves” is no exception as it was written during the very first Covid19 lockdown.
Both sonically and lyrically, “Twenty Million Loves” captures the feeling of the pandemic and being stuck inside while seeing “the world stop turning on the outside” in a metaphorical sense. A combination of influences shines through the track which takes a songwriting approach akin to an indie-pop song structure, though cross-pollinates with elements of electronic dance music, including more raw analog sounds. It begins as a melancholic tune driven by the airy vocals of talented singer HannaH, and slowly evolves to a melodic EDM track with dreamy vibes and layered synths. “Twenty Million Loves” is fit for a multitude of playlists ranging from fresh dance and indie pop tunes, night drives, mood boosters or new artists!
