Hilton Scott Shares Warm New Holiday Song “Christmas Time”

Hilton Scott has been embracing the holiday season with a cozy vibe on his new song “Christmas Time.” He teamed up with Joey Law to create this bright and nostalgic holiday track. It’s his first release of 2025, and it comes with a fresh new sound after being re-recorded and remastered earlier this year.

The song actually started back in 2021, when Hilton challenged himself to do something he hadn’t done before: write something for the holiday season. He sat down at the piano, worked out the melody, and teamed up with his brother Aaron to finish the lyrics. Even though the original home recording was raw, the heart of the song was there. He later had the chance to work with studio musicians from Musiversal to redo the bass, drums, and piano, with Luciano Vassao mastering the finished product. This process brought the song to the level he always imagined.

“Christmas Time” is about the moments that make the season feel special: sledding, snowball fights, cocoa by the fire, Santa wishlists, baking cookies, and watching classic movies like Home Alone and It’s a Wonderful Life. Scott said the song is “[about] nostalgia, family and friends, and trying to capture the spirit and anticipation of the Christmas season in a way that people can not only relate to but also feel.” The song details those moments we wish lasted forever. The chorus sums it up with the line, “I wish they didn’t end.”

For Hilton, already a three-time International Songwriting Competition Semi-Finalist, this track is his way of bottling up the joy and magic of the holidays and sharing it with anyone who needs a little Christmas joy.
