Mythology Releases New Single “Condensation/All That Lives/Planck Epoch”

by Jack Rush

New Jersey prog-rock trio Mythology just dropped a new song on the heels of their live album Mythology Lives! Vol. 3. The song, “Condensation/All That Lives/Planck Epoch,” is an 11.5-minute trip that shifts through different moods and sections, taking listeners on a musical journey.

Mythology has been making music since 2007, led by guitarist and vocalist Brynen A. Sosa, with longtime drummer Jordan Morrissey and bassist Dave Lockhart completing the ensemble. Their tight-knit chemistry and blend of classic prog and modern alt-rock have earned them a growing and loyal following over the years.

The band has always drawn from a wide array of influences, from Yes and Pink Floyd to Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Nine Inch Nails. This new release showcases a lot of these elements all in one composition. The song is, as the title suggests, three songs rolled into one. They say it’s akin to a game of musical chairs.

The message follows a character battling feelings of failure and mental health struggles. The song seems dark at first but the light comes out in the end. “Failure is not the end, but rather is a new beginning.”
With this release, Mythology reminds fans exactly why they’ve stuck around: the music always delivers.
