Some records are designed for careful listening, while others practically demand to be played with the windows down and the highway stretching endlessly ahead. DownTown Mystic's latest release, Mystic Highway Road Trip, falls firmly into the latter category, delivering six tracks of upbeat, guitar-driven roots rock that celebrate the simple pleasures of the journey as much as the destination.
Rather than reinventing his sound, songwriter and producer Robert Allen refines the formula that has earned DownTown Mystic a loyal following. The EP is packed with positive energy, memorable hooks, and polished musicianship, making it an ideal companion for long summer drives.
